September 12, 2012, 2:57 pm - Check Out Our Home Base: a fully themed design studio
At Bruce Barry's Wacky World Studios, we don't just talk the custom-theming talk, we also walk the walk. While other design studios may only be thinking about theming while they our on the job, we are constantly working in a fully-themed office environment!
Almost every inch of Wacky World Studios is an immersive environment, be it the lakeside log cabin vibe of our custom artwork and sculpture division (dubbed "Lake Mirakenna") or the main street feel of our as-yet-unfinished Express and Themes-To-Go divison (aptly named "Whimsy City"). What I aim to do is take those of you who have never had the pleasure of visiting Wacky World Studios in Oldsmar,FL on a tour of our amazing design studio.
We'll start at the beginning, aka the lobby:

The lobby has a few free-standing 2D cut-outs, one of a ranger and one of mischevious bears. On the walll, a hand-sculpted moose head hanhs over a faux fireplace with matteboard books on the mantle. Behind all this is the entryway to Lake Mirakenna, 2 giant sculpted trees.

Next up is the entryway to Lake Mirakenna.
We head underneath the 2D cut-out bears and sculpted archway and run into a hallway with reflected water lighting throughout.

The first thing we come upon is the outside of our art director's office. The log cabin look is courtesy of our line of wallcoverings. The shutters are molded foam and the pebbled lower half is made of vacuum-formed plastic!
Continue down the hallway and we come upon the lion's den.

That's right, the office of the man himself, Bruce Barry. The outside is decorated with a campfire, trees, a mailbox, oars and barrels.

The wackyness continues inside with a custom, Flinstones-like desk. On the end of the desk is an over-sized vice. The walls are covered in Wacky World Express log cabin wallpaper. The sled against the wall is actually printed on the wallpaper and serves as a good example of the false depth that many of our murals create.
Leaving the office, you come across our artist's cubicles.
Complete with a totally awesome sculpted pickup/conference table!
Turning around will bring you into the office of our art director which has another faux fireplace and several butterflies from our upcoming teen line!

And that completes the tour for today. Check back soon for a tour of Whimsy City, the other side of Wacky World Studios!
